Tips in how to do Good Parenting for your Young Children
Messing up your parenting job? Find out some tips for you to use to make your parenting chores more easy and productive.
Understand Your Role
In your being a parent to your children, it doesn’t make you their master to be feared. You only have to be their guides as they trod along their own life’s path. At this stage of their lives, it would be helpful if you don’t give them someone who’s judgmental, but rather, a person whom they could rely on for advices and encouragement.
Focus on the Right Things
Keeping the discipline in your children is indeed a necessary thing, but keep it to a minimum or if you really need to do it. Sometimes a word of encouragement, pushing them to succeed on their own without much admonition from you would do wonders in your relationship with your children and their own self-worth.
High Expectations
Never set them goals which are too much for them to take or accomplish. Be conscious with the level of your expectations for them because if you set them too high, your children might get a little anxious about it and ends up being frustrated if they don’t achieve it.
Healthy Competition
Competition is not bad, it never was. It doesn’t only mean that you should beat the crap out of your competitor but, for your children to learn the value of always doing his or her best in everything they do.
Social Involvement
Do not force your child to join the coolest groups in campus. Pushing them will only make them fake it out and develop resentment for you from them. Let them find their own clique and support them as long as his friends don’t become negative influences.
Activity Involvement
Letting your kid join social activities and groups develops their social mingling skills. In this way, they will find out for themselves the right (and wrong) way with dealing with people. Besides it’s always healthy to be with a lot of people.
