In this fast paced world we have today, many of us are leading lives which demand us to give much of our time to our work and it causes us to neglect doing some things we need to do like we don’t have time to prepare the foods we have to eat, for one. Because of that, we are forced to eat fast food stuffs which unfortunately are not so healthy for us, despite their being delicious and all. Most of them are cholesterol laden and if taken in large numbers as most of us are doing, we have for ourselves several life-threatening diseases caused by this unknowing compound.

High fibrous foods: One should increase the intake of high fibrous foods such as fruits and vegetables for lowering LDL levels. They contain anti-oxidants that help in flushing out toxins. Richly colored vegetables and fruits are mostly preferred. You should include lots of fruit salads and juices.

Omega 3 Fatty acids: Foods containing omega 3 fatty acids such as tuna, salmon and mackerel should be consumed more while you should completely avoid saturated fats such as red meats etc.

Red wine: You can also have moderate quantity of red wine for lowering LDL. Red wine contains resveratrol that greatly helps in stimulating age reversal process.

Soy based product: You can have soy products for lowering the LDL levels because they contain natural chemicals called isoflavones.

Whole grains: One should consume sufficient whole grains for reducing the cholesterol levels. They contain Vitamin B, magnesium, iron and fiber. Common types of whole grains are wild rice, oatmeal, barley, popcorn, whole wheat etc.
